Stars Swim Schools provide exceptional swimming lessons Clyde for babies and children. Their staff is committed to each student’s success while providing a friendly, secure learning atmosphere.
They offer baby swimming lessons for infants aged four months to pre-schoolers. Classes last 30 minutes and focus on teaching young children how to swim through skill development through songs and activities.
Small Group Classes
Small group classes are an excellent way for your child to begin swimming. Children learn more quickly in smaller groups, and instructors take into account each student’s individual needs.
Little STARS program offers group swim lessons for children from 3 years old and up at ECC Flickinger Center, 21 Oak Street in Buffalo on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Experience Level: Most individuals with little to no pool experience can swim only short distances and cannot float on the back. Their goal is to gain confidence in the water, learn to swim without a float, and be able to move through it with ease and efficiency.
Participants learn the following aquatic skills; swimming underwater, feet-first surface dives, and survival swimming; front and back crawl open turns, elementary backstroke, breaststroke, sidestroke, butterfly kick on back, and flutter kick on front. To progress further in this course students must be able to tread water using two distinct kicks as well as complete a push-off from either end of the pool.
Heated Indoor Pool
Our pools are kept at an inviting 82-84 degrees year-round, making learning to swim in our indoor pool even more enjoyable for students.
We utilize an eco-friendly and efficient pool heat pump that uses less energy compared to traditional electric heaters, helping you save money on power bills. Plus, with our app you can schedule heating from your phone – always have a nice warm pool at the touch of a button!
The beauty of a pool-specific heat pump is that it takes advantage of the sun’s free rays to extend the swimming season. That means you can enjoy warmer weather for up to 10 months out of the year, and solar heating costs so much less than standard gas heaters, there’s no reason not to invest in one today!
Free Assessment
Star Swim Schools provide FREE swim assessments to all new swimmers as a means of guaranteeing your child has an enjoyable and safe experience in the water.
Our instructors are skilled at instructing children of varying abilities. Together, you and our instructors create an individualized program that challenges your child while also building upon his or her strengths and abilities.
Additionally, all A Star Swim School staff must abide by the ‘Wavepower’ Child Protection Policy established by Swim England. If a member of staff feels that a child may be suffering or making disclosures about the abuse they will contact Rachel Kavanagh, our designated CP Welfare Officer to discuss the matter further.
All swimming lessons must be accompanied by either parents/guardians or other responsible adults, except when a parent is unavailable to supervise their child during a lesson. In such cases, a supervisor will stay with the child if their usual adult cannot collect them; if contact cannot be established with the parent, safeguarding guidelines will apply and police intervention may be called for assistance.
